Ballet 101 dance classes are tailored for those in St. Louis who are new to ballet, or haven’t taken a class in quite some time. From mastering fundamental ballet moves like pliés and tendues, to building strength for ballet positions, our classes promise new ballet skills and confidence with a supportive community of other beginner dancers. 

Every Tuesday evening at 7:15pm, at Central Studio on Pershing Ave.

A focused hour of introductory ballet instruction for beginners and those new to dance classes. In Ballet 101, you’ll develop the coordination, dance vocabulary, and confidence needed to advance to other ballet classes the Central Studio offers (Adult Ballet 1 and 2). 

Ballet 101 begins with a warm up at the barre where basic ballet terms are introduced and finishes with ballet in the center of the dance studio to practice balance and ballet technique.

No special shoes or attire required; socks and comfortable workout clothes is all that’s needed!
