Pilates Group Equipment Class

In-Studio only | Clayton & Pershing

Experience personal attention as you grow your Pilates technique and understanding in a small group setting. Pilates equipment utilizes spring tension and body weight to create a balanced, strong, and flexible body. This class uses the Reformer, Chair, Pole System, or Spine Corrector to help clients experience the full range of Pilates repertoire.

Level: 1, 2, or 3 (beginner to advanced) or Open Level (for all experience levels)

Focus: Full body strength, functional movement, increased range of motion, and mind-body awareness.

What to Wear: Comfortable fitness attire. Most clients wear gripper socks or go barefoot.

Pilates Classes - Mat Pilates Class in St. Louis

Pilates Mat

Virtual and In-Studio | Clayton & Pershing

Pilates Mat 1: Stretch, strengthen, and bring awareness to your body from the comfort of your living room! Pilates Core Mat Class draws attention to the flow of movement and power center at your core with choreography that supports the process of creating long, lean musculature.

Focus: core energy flow

Pilates Mat 2 challenges intermediate/advanced students to improve their technique, strength, and agility. Props are used to add variation to the class in addition to the body weight exercises found in mat work.

Focus: improve strength, flexibility, posture, and coordination

In-Studio classes use Magic Circles, foam rollers, light weights, Fletcher Towels and various physio balls for added variation to the classical exercise repertoire.

Schedule a one-on-one private session with a certified Pilates teacher, working together at Central Studio or through a virtual meeting.

Joe Pilates, native to Germany, developed his system of exercise through out the first half of the 20th century focusing on the interrelation of mental and physical health. The Pilates Method based on the six principles of centering, concentration control, efficiency of movement, precision & breathing emphasizes core strength & stability while promoting flexibility and freedom to move with out pain. The use of specialized equipment developed by Joe Pilates are spring based creating a safe effective way to uniformly develop your body leaving you feeling wonderful and connected every time!

All Central Studio teachers are trained in a wide variety of Pilates and movement techniques, including traditional mat classes and Reformer equipment classes. Reformer training is considered an essential part of many athletic training programs or as cross-training for many activities.
