Ballet 101 Workshops, every Tuesday!
Discover the joy of ballet at our St. Louis dance studio! If you're an adult looking to explore the enchanting world of ballet, you've found the perfect spot.
Ballet 101 dance classes are tailored for those in St. Louis who are new to ballet, or haven’t taken a class in quite some time. From mastering fundamental ballet moves like pliés and tendues, to building strength for ballet positions, our classes promise new ballet skills and confidence with a supportive community of other beginner dancers.
Every Tuesday evening at 7:15pm, at Central Studio on Pershing Ave.
A focused hour of introductory ballet instruction for beginners and those new to dance classes. In Ballet 101, you’ll develop the coordination, dance vocabulary, and confidence needed to advance to other ballet classes the Central Studio offers (Adult Ballet 1 and 2).
Ballet 101 begins with a warm up at the barre where basic ballet terms are introduced and finishes with ballet in the center of the dance studio to practice balance and ballet technique.
No special shoes or attire required; socks and comfortable workout clothes is all that’s needed!
Jazzy Saturdays
Step into the rhythm every Saturday at Central Studio in St. Louis with our jazz dance class! Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your moves, this class offers the perfect mix of foundational techniques and intermediate steps to get your groove on. Led by experienced instructors, you'll explore the lively world of jazz dance, known for its expressive movements and rhythmic flair.

Broadway Bound Summer Camp
Welcome to Broadway Bound, an exciting and dynamic summer camp experience for kids aged 7 to 11! During this thrilling week from July 15th to July 19th, campers will immerse themselves in the dazzling world of Broadway.
Our program combines interactive educational activities with a whole lot of fun, ensuring a memorable and enriching experience for every child.
Each day, campers will engage in a series of workshops led by experienced theater professionals. These workshops will cover various aspects of stagecraft, including acting, singing, dancing, and even basic set and costume design. Our approach focuses on fostering creativity, collaboration, and confidence, allowing each camper to shine in their unique way.
A special feature of our camp is the daily "Broadway Star" session, where campers will learn and rehearse a part of a famous Broadway musical. This culminates in a mini-performance at the end of the week, giving our young stars a chance to showcase their talents in front of family and friends.
Besides the theater-focused activities, campers will also enjoy a range of other fun summer camp experiences. This includes outdoor games, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises, all within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Action Heroes Academy Summer Camp
Welcome to Action Heroes Academy, a thrilling and imaginative summer camp experience for children aged 3 to 6! From July 22nd to July 26th, this camp is the perfect place for your little ones to embark on an adventure of learning and fun, all while exploring the exciting world of their favorite action heroes.
Throughout the week, our young campers will delve into a variety of interactive and educational activities designed to stimulate their creativity and physical abilities. Each day, the camp will focus on a different action hero theme, allowing the children to immerse themselves in stories of courage, teamwork, and problem-solving.
The activities include hero-themed crafts, where campers create their own superhero costumes and gadgets. We'll also have story-time sessions that not only entertain but also impart valuable lessons about bravery, kindness, and perseverance.
A key part of our camp is the physical activity sessions. Here, children will engage in safe, age-appropriate obstacle courses and team games, designed to develop their motor skills and promote healthy physical activity. These activities encourage teamwork and help build confidence as the children learn to navigate challenges in a supportive environment.
In addition to these hero-themed activities, campers will also enjoy classic summer camp experiences like outdoor play, interactive music sessions, and hands-on science experiments. These activities are geared towards nurturing a love for learning and exploration in a fun and engaging way.

Summer Intermediate Dance Intensive
Week-long Dance Intensive for ages 12-17.
Dance ALL DAY! CSA’s Summer Intensive Dance Camp has earned a reputation for being a positive, challenging, and rewarding dance experience for students during the summer. The program offers top quality teachers that are dedicated to the growth and learning of each individual student.
Students participate in a minimum of four classes per day and enjoy a comprehensive curriculum that includes intermediate level dance technique classes, fitness classes, and lunch-time lecture courses to contribute to the holistic development of a versatile dancer.
Movie Magic
Summer Dance Camp for ages 7-11.
No need to hold the drama for this fun + sparkly summer dance camp! Head to Hollywood for a fun summer dance camp exploring ALL the dance genres from jazz and hip-hop to acro and ballet and soon, you’ll be on your way recording your very own movie short.
Students will dance and contribute to the artistic process of producing and starring in their very own DANCE music video! Includes fun activities related to style and wardrobe, props, makeup, choreography and performance.
Royalty Bootcamp
Summer Dance Camp for ages 3-6.
Training to be royalty has never been so much fun! Learn the proper ways to keep your crown straight while you bow, create crafts of nobility, and have the proper etiquette for any tea party.
Harry Potter Camp
Summer Dance Camp for ages 7-11.
Harry Potter fans unite and join us at CS Academy of Magic! Your young witches and wizards will dive into their studies of spells, potions, and of course, dance moves all to be showcased during graduation day. Grab your wands because school is officially in session at CS Academy!
Animal Planet
Summer Dance Camp for ages 3-6
Lions and Tigers and Bears…OH MY! Embark on an adventure by dancing your way through the jungle in this dance camp. Your camper will stomp like an elephant to the beat, leap like a leopard to the lyrics, and run in the sun, filled with fun, like the wild animals of the safari. With animal crafts and songs and wildly fun activities, your camper will be soaring the safari.
Not According to Plan
On May 27, Collective Motion will present "Not According To Plan" at COCA's Staenberg Performance Lab. Enjoy a multimedia dance concert centered around failures, missteps and mistakes. Through dance, storytelling, poetry, visual art, and more, we're bringing failure out of the shadows and into the light.

Parent's Night Out
Parents, want to enjoy a night out knowing you kids will be fed and worn out with creative fun? Here is your chance. Drop off your kids off with friendly and energetic Central Studio staff from 5:30-9:30pm. The night includes a dance class, movement games, a craft and a pizza party! Perfect for Kindergarten to 6th grade with split-level age-appropriate activities.
